Job summary

The Arkema Group is seeking a QC Lab Technician at the Coatex Plant in Chester, SC. The role focuses on quality control testing of raw materials and products, maintaining ISO-compliant records, and operating analytical lab equipment.

You will handle lab data, ensure product specifications, and support safety and process improvement initiatives. The position requires rotating shifts and adherence to HES standards in a chemical manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of lab experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Computer literacy with Excel, Word, and Access.
• Physical requirements include continual standing and climbing stairs.
• Training to ship hazardous and dangerous goods internationally and domestically.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing of raw materials and products.
• Maintain record keeping and work instructions for the ISO program.
• Operate lab instrumentation to analyze samples from production, shipping, and customers.
• Maintain lab equipment and inventory; manage consumables purchases.
• Manage QC Lab data using SAP, Excel, Lotus, and other software.
• Participate in safety meetings and plant initiatives.
• Support training of new QC Lab Technicians and cross-control activities.
