Job summary

AbbVie in the United States is seeking a QC Lab Supervisor I to lead a high-performing team on the shop floor, overseeing analytical testing, materials release, and in-process controls in alignment with cGMP standards.

You will manage lab analysts, coordinate scheduling, ensure instrument readiness, and drive continuous improvement to enable timely product release and efficient operations across cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a Scientific field (Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology)
• Effective problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, influence, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills required.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate work within the department and with other departments.
• Ability to interpret the impact of laboratory data for appropriate and effective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high performing team while prioritizing shop floor presence.
• Oversee operation and function of the laboratory group (Raw Materials, Finished Products, projects/validation samples, environmental monitoring).
• Identify test results requiring action and implement corrective actions.
• Review and approve data related to analytical product release.
• Support laboratory investigations and ensure effective corrective actions.
