Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc. in Delaware, OH is seeking a Quality Lab Supervisor to lead the QC team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will manage technicians, uphold quality standards, and drive continuous improvement across the laboratory operations on site. Reporting to the QC Lab Manager, you will audit processes, allocate resources, and collaborate with other departments to meet strategic goals while ensuring compliance with the Delaware Quality Management System and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in a laboratory setting.
• Experience in people leadership required.
• Overtime may be required based on team and project needs.

Responsibilities

• Audit, monitoring, and ensuring quality against internal and regulatory standards.
• Allocate daily resources among the QC team.
• Drive team performance and establish accountability feedback mechanisms.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to meet strategic goals.
• Test random samples of finished goods.
• Identify and scope process improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with other QC lab supervisors on cross-area opportunities.
• Report deviations and defects to troubleshoot with QA.
• Lead daily technician meetings.
• Acknowledge and fulfill lab staff needs and resourcing.
• Ensure Delaware's Quality Management System requirements are followed.
• Ensure policies and procedures are understood by reports and stakeholders.
