Job summary

The Coim USA facility in West Deptford, New Jersey is seeking a Quality Control Lab Tech to analyze and approve incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products in accordance with ISO 9001. You will create and maintain product files and records, manage lab equipment and chemicals as per SOPs, and ensure safety procedures are followed.

This role requires a two-year degree and 3+ years’ QC experience, with proficiency in FTIR/NIR and data systems like Navision.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Life Science, or relatable field.
• 3+ years QC experience; FTIR/NIR, autotitration, viscometers preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multitask.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work safely with chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Perform various wet and instrumental analytical tests on samples received in the lab; titrations (colorimetric, potentiometric, Karl Fischer), viscosity, color, pH, FTIR, NIR. Follow QC lab check standard and calibration procedures. Report non-conformities to supervisor immediately.
• Approve Incoming Raw Materials used for Production. Log in sample(s) according to SOP, create product file and analyze according to “Raw Material Master Specification” document; retain sample, record data in product file and Batchcalc; complete file, and approve in Navision.
• Approve Finished Product for shipment to Customers. Review and approve batch sheets for production, log in sample(s) according to SOP, create product file and analyze sample(s) according to “Finished Good Master Specification” document; retain sample(s), record data in product file and Batchcalc; create/review the COA; review and complete file, and approve in Navision.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Navision by completing Raw Material and Finished Good inspection Orders, merging storage tanks and changing the location of Raw Materials received in railcars from WD-RAIL to WD.
