Job summary

South Bay Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector for our graveyard shift in Fremont, CA. You will inspect incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished goods using GD&T, ASMEY14.5M standards, and precision inspection tools, documenting results and maintaining traceability.

You will read blueprints, create reports, and issue NCRs within the ERP system while supporting quality improvement initiatives and KPI tracking to meet customer and company specifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Up to 2 years of mechanical inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and ASME Y14.5M standards.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts, geometry, trigonometry, and datum structures.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and data entry.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Quality Inspector is responsible for maintaining South Bay Solutions' quality standards by inspecting incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products. This role includes analyzing inspection results, documenting findings, and ensuring compliance with customer and company specifications.

Shift

Graveyard Shift

• Monday - Friday
• 9:00PM to 5:35 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Perform inspections on surface plates and other inspection equipment.
• Measure and test products using a variety of inspection tools and equipment.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification.
• Experience using:

• Optical Comparator with Quadra-Chek 200
• Manual Mitutoyo CMM
• Zeiss CMM programs
• Ability to:
• Set up and troubleshoot CMM programs
• Validate parts using multiple inspection methods
• Analyze and trend inspection data and KPIs
• Communicate inspection methods and results effectively
