Job Overview:
In the Quality Inspector role, you will be responsible for inspection and quality services to ensure company products and processes meet customer, company, and other specifications. This role supports company initiatives, provides training, and assists the Quality Control Manager.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
- Ensure that employees operate within the policies and procedures of VPET USA INC.
- Evaluate problems and recommend corrective actions to supervisors.
- Participate in the development and revision of SOPs for inspection.
- Support the production team as needed.
- Visually and physically inspect materials, components, and final products using blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings, and orders to verify conformity to specifications.
- Record compliance with quality standards through inspection logs and reports.
- Identify and resolve inspection problems, developing methods and procedures.
- Audit products and processes to verify system compliance.
- Maintain inspection records and write reports.
- Communicate quality issues and collaborate with engineering and team leads to investigate and resolve problems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, identify problems, and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs for report writing and data analysis.
- Proficient English skills (reading, writing, speaking).
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Commitment to organizational success.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Perform pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling.
- Repetitive motions such as reaching and grasping.
- Use of ladders or step ladders.
- Work environment includes a warehouse with varying temperatures.
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience or a combination of experience and education.
- Familiarity with SQF 2000, HACCP, and GMP is preferred.
- Experience in the plastic bottle industry or manufacturing is preferred.
