Job summary

Accurate Metal Fabricating in Cicero, IL seeks a Quality Control Inspector with experience inspecting stainless steel and aluminum parts. You will read blueprints, BOMs, and work orders and perform in-process inspection across manufacturing stages.

You will measure with calipers and tape measures, calibrate instruments, and record results in computer systems while supporting corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting metal parts (stainless steel and aluminum).
• Reads blueprints, BOMs, and work orders; performs in-process inspection across manufacturing stages.
• Knowledge of ISO-9001, First Article and PPAPs.
• Reads decimal charts and drawings to verify product requirements.
• Proven CMM programming skills.

Job description

Quality Control Inspector - must have previous experience inspecting metal (stainless steel and aluminum) fabricated parts.

Reads blueprints, CMM Programing, bills of materials, written and work orders required in the fabrication of

parts.

Measure and monitor products and processes

In-Process inspection of product in all manufacturing stages

Conduct calibration of measuring devices

Utilize computers for recording results, generating forms, and monitoring specifications

Implement corrective actions and preventive measures

Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement

Clearly communicate and actively listen

Assist with implementation of quality programs and policies

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Good communication skills

General knowledge of ISO-9001, First Article and PPAP's

Computer skills including Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook

Bilingual, English and Spanish or English and Polish, preferred

Ability to add and subtract small, medium or large numbers and to multiply and divide.

Must be able to use a tape measure or other measuring devices such as calipers and to work with any/all specified tolerances.

Must be able to read a decimal chart and simple/complex drawings to verify product identification and requirements.

Pay rate starting at $25.00

First shift, Mon-Fri (5:00 am - 1:30 pm)
