Job summary

Cannonball Recruiting LLC is seeking a CMM Inspector to meticulously inspect machined parts, fabrications and weldments using CMM, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools. You will ensure compliance with procedures and specifications, document results, and communicate non-conformities for timely resolution.

The role requires reading blueprints, attention to detail, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree or vocational training in mechanical technology preferred.
  • Two or more years of related experience in industrial, mechanical, or machining product inspection preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.
  • CMM experience required; MCOSMOS or similar.
  • Ability to use inspection and measuring tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Experience with FaroArm is ideal but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspections on machined parts, fabrications, and weldments to verify dimensions, tolerances, and quality.
  • Utilize inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM.
  • Follow written procedures and specifications to document results accurately.
  • Inspect castings, forgings, and weldments using visual and penetrant methods.
  • Identify, document, and communicate non-conformities for resolution.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely inspection of finished and rough castings.
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide inspection support in additional work cells as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection processes.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and keep a clean, organized work environment.

CMM Inspector
Pay: $25-30/hr. (depending on experience; can go higher for the right candidate)
Shift: 1st shift (M-TH 6a-4p) with OT on Friday
Job Summary
  • The CMM Inspector is responsible for meticulously inspecting various machined parts, fabrications, and weldments using multiple inspection methods and tools. All inspections must be performed in accordance with established written procedures and specifications. This position may also support additional work cells as needed while maintaining high inspection and quality assurance standards.

  • Follow written procedures and specifications to conduct inspections and accurately document results
  • Inspect castings, forgings, and weldments using visual and liquid penetrant inspection methods
  • Identify, document, and communicate non-conformities or deviations to appropriate personnel for resolution
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely and efficient inspection of finished and rough machine castings
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment to ensure accurate measurements and compliance with quality standards
  • Provide inspection support in additional work cells as needed while maintaining quality standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection processes and procedures
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
