Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Inspector for a direct hire opportunity in Irvine, CA with a global distributor of electronic components. This role is ideal for a quality-focused professional with hands‑on inspection experience in electronics, hardware components, semiconductors, circuit board assembly, or related manufacturing environments.

The QC Inspector will perform high-volume, time-sensitive inspections and testing of electronic components to ensure products meet quality standards, manufacturer specifications, customer requirements, and industry expectations. Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections, measurements, and quality checks on electronic and hardware components according to applicable standards and specifications.
• Identify, document, and report non-conformities, defects, and inspection findings to the Quality Control Manager.
• Accurately record inspection results, test outcomes, and work performed using appropriate systems and documentation practices.
• Monitor critical inspection equipment and instrumentation to help ensure proper operation and calibration.
• Handle, package, and protect sensitive electronic products according to customer, quality, and industry standards.
• Support high-volume inspection activity while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and production timelines.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay range: $21 to $23 per hour.
• Job type: Direct hire.
• Location: Irvine, CA.
• Overtime: Some overtime required on weekdays and weekends.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Perform quality control inspections on electronic and hardware components.
• Document inspection findings, test results, and non-conforming materials.
• Use inspection tools and equipment to verify product quality and specifications.
• Support proper handling and packaging of sensitive electronic products.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months of electronic or hardware component quality control inspection experience required.
• 1 year of quality inspection experience preferred or required based on role expectations.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
• Basic math and measurement skills required.
• Ability to understand product drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude required.
• Experience using tablets, cameras, microscopes, calipers, weight scales, counters, computers, email, and internet tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and sit for extended periods.
• Strong vision, careful product handling skills, and high attention to detail.
• Must be organized, analytical, methodical, focused, motivated, articulate, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a dependable team player with the ability to support overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience inspecting, testing, handling, and packaging electronic components.
• Prior experience in test laboratories, circuit board assembly, semiconductor manufacturing, independent distribution, or franchise distribution.
• Familiarity with quality and industry standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, AS6081, IDEA-STD-1010, MIL-STD-883, ANSI/ESD-S20.20, JESD22-B101, J-STD-033, J-STD-001, and IPC-A-610.
• Experience working with obsolete, hard-to-find, or sensitive electronic components.
