Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in Niagara Falls, NY is seeking a Failure Analyst to support the Quality Department by logging customer complaints in CAPA, performing failure analysis, and preparing 8D corrective action reports.

You will conduct inspections, maintain records, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to verify corrective actions, with opportunities for audits and process improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred in a technical field.
• Strong detail orientation and organizational skills.
• Proficient with basic computer applications (spreadsheets, word processing, email).
• Effective communication and teamwork with customers, suppliers, and coworkers.
• Familiarity with 5 Whys and the 8D problem-solving process.
• Experience performing inspections with basic measurement tools.

Job Location:

Vishay Thin Film is located in Niagara Falls, NY. The site has a lot of natural beauty to offer including the world-famous Niagara Falls which are just a short drive away!

What you will be doing:

• Log and track customer complaints in the CAPA system
• Conduct failure analysis and prepare 8D corrective action reports
• Perform inspections and testing to support root cause investigations and corrective actions
• Maintain accurate records of customer complaints and related actions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and verify corrective actions
• Assist with or perform internal quality audits as assigned

What you will bring along:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a technical or related field preferred
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Proficient in basic computer applications, including spreadsheets, word processing, and email
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with coworkers, customers, and suppliers
• Familiarity with root cause analysis and problem-solving tools such as 5 Whys and the 8D process
• Ability to perform inspections using basic measurement and test equipment (e.g., calipers, microscopes, electrical testing tools)

Pay Range: $19-20/hr
