Job summary

Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a QC Chemist II for the 1st shift to support quality systems in the manufacturing and testing of raw materials, APIs, and finished products.

The role involves laboratory support across raw material, in-process, stability, and finished product testing. The candidate should have a chemistry degree with at least 3 years of pharmaceutical testing experience, and be able to operate essential lab instruments with strong data review skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and/or related discipline (e.g. Biochemistry, Biotechnology).
• Minimum of 3 years pharmaceutical or testing experience.
• Qualification for use of a full-face respirator is required.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of raw material, in-process, and finished pharmaceutical products.
• Prepare standards and samples for analysis.
• Run instrumentation independently including HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV VIS, and physical testing on pharmaceutical products according to client/compendia procedures and departmental SOPs.
• Review laboratory data for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to GMP and/or GLP regulations.
• Process data, generate reports, and evaluate data.
• Perform all job responsibilities in compliance with cGMPs, company SOP's, and current industry practice.
