Job summary

NOW Foods is seeking a QC Chemist I for the Bloomingdale, IL plant on a split shift (10:00 AM – 6:30 PM). The role tests materials for strength, identification and contaminants using pH meter, FTIR, HPLC, GC and other instrumentation.

You will set up and run instruments, interpret data, revise SOPs, guide technicians, and ensure compliance with safety and cGMP requirements. A BS in a laboratory science and hands-on instrument experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in laboratory science; experience in instrumental analysis preferred.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and safety procedures; familiarity with cGMP.

Responsibilities

• Tests materials for strength, identification and contaminants using multiple instruments.
• Independently sets up, runs, and troubleshoots instrumentation.
• Performs data interpretation and reporting of results.
• Revises SOPs as needed.
• Provides guidance to technicians.
• Records and evaluates data and documentation for completeness.
