Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Chemist I in Indianapolis to perform laboratory testing supporting product quality in a GMP-regulated environment. You will execute routine and non-routine tests, interpret data, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement with colleagues across the organization.

The role emphasizes developing technical expertise, maintaining quality and safety standards, and partnering on investigations and training. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related scientific discipline is required.
• 1+ years of related laboratory experience is required.
• Experience in GMP-regulated environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with analytical instrumentation (HPLC, UV, CE) and LIMS is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing following approved procedures and GMP requirements.
• Review, interpret, and document analytical results.
• Perform SPV (second-person verification) of data.
• Identify abnormal results and participate in investigations.
• Assist in SOPs and equipment calibration/maintenance.
