Job summary

DuBois Chemicals, Inc. seeks a Quality Assurance professional to provide technical support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring products meet quality specifications and comply with safety and environmental regulations.

Reporting to the QA Manager, you will perform material and product testing, conduct line audits, and collaborate with Production, Plant Management, QA, and EHS to maintain quality and safety across operations.

Qualifications

  • One to three years of wet chemistry testing experience.
  • Statistical Process Control, Data Analysis, PC skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities in technical matters.
  • Effective communication with all levels across multiple locations.
  • Ability to take a leadership role in Quality Assurance.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative.
  • Audits 2–4 times per month, reviewing production activities and records.
  • Identify discrepancies and drive corrective actions with production teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provides daily production support including testing, adjusting and disposition of raw materials, products and packaging in a Plant Lab.
  • Collaborates with QA, Plant Management, Production, and EHS to ensure quality and safety of products.
  • Supports waste minimization and environmental compliance, and disposition of returns and discrepant materials.
  • Uses SPC methods for data collection, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions and cost savings analysis.
  • Performs line audits and other duties as assigned by the QA Manager.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, this position provides technical and quality support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring products meet established quality specifications and comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include performing quality testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products; conducting line audits; supporting production with product adjustments and material disposition decisions; and collaborating closely with Production, Plant Management, Quality Assurance, and EHS teams to maintain product quality, safety, and operational efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Employs safe work habits and complies with all applicable safety requirements
  • Provide daily production support including testing, adjusting and disposition of raw materials, products and packaging in a Plant Lab
  • Works closely with Quality Assurance, Plant Management, Production Teams and EHS to ensure overall quality and safety of products produced and distributed from the Sharonville Plant
  • Provide technical support with regards to waste minimization, environmental compliance, and timely disposition of returns, discrepant product and materials
  • Utilize SPC methods in data collection, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive action effectiveness and cost saving/avoidance analysis
  • Any other responsibilities delegated by the Quality Assurance Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • One to three years of wet chemistry testing experience
  • Statistical Process Control, Data Analysis, PC skills
  • Must have strong problem-solving abilities specifically in technical matters
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel at multiple locations
  • Must have the ability to take a leadership role in all Quality Assurance matters
  • Must be able to excel in a team environment
  • Must be available to conduct and support internal quality audits 2 to 4 times per month, including reviewing production activities, batch records, manufacturing documentation, and compliance with established quality procedures
  • Must be able to identify discrepancies, document findings, and work with production teams to ensure corrective actions are implemented
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Related Science Degree
