Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry or related field.
  • 6 months internship or industry experience preferred.
  • Experience in a GMP laboratory environment is a plus.
  • Strong documentation and adherence to SOPs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing and evaluations of raw materials, bulk products, and finished products.
  • Follow SOPs and test procedures during all laboratory activities.
  • Maintain accurate GMP-compliant documentation records.
  • Use pH meters, viscometers, and analytical balances safely.
  • Perform visual and odor inspections of products and materials.
  • Gain hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, and UV-Vis.

Job Description

The Quality Control Chemist performs testing and evaluation of raw materials, bulk products, and finished goods in a GMP laboratory environment to ensure all products meet quality specifications and customer standards. This role focuses on accurate analytical testing, thorough documentation, troubleshooting out-of-specification results, and continuous improvement of laboratory processes. The position offers exposure to a wide variety of products, opportunities for growth into more complex methods and instrumentation, and an overnight schedule that requires a high degree of independence and responsibility.

Responsibilities
  • Perform testing and evaluations of raw materials, bulk products, and finished products in accordance with written procedures and established test methods.

  • Ensure current standard operating procedures (SOPs) and test procedures are followed and properly applied during all laboratory activities.

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and compliant documentation records in alignment with GMP requirements and cGMP principles.

  • Use laboratory equipment such as pH meters, Brookfield spindle viscometers, and analytical balances accurately and safely.

  • Perform visual and odor inspections of products and materials as part of routine quality evaluations.

  • Will be able to gain hands on experience utilizing HPLC, GC, and UV-Vis

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.

  • 6 months of internship or industry experience is preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chaska, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
