Our Compliance Department is looking to hire a QC Analyst.

ALL REMOTE POSITIONS REQUIRE A DOWNLOAD SPEED OF NO LESS THAN 50 MBPS.

Job Title: QC Analyst

Reports To: QC Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Department: Compliance

Division: Retail

Salary Range: $58K to $65K per year

Summary:

The Mortgage Quality Control Analyst is responsible for conducting pre-closing and post-closing audits of mortgage loan files to ensure compliance with internal policies, investor guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA), and regulatory requirements (TRID, RESPA, TILA, etc.). This role plays a vital part in identifying risk, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting overall loan quality and compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Conduct pre-closing and post-closing loan audits to assess compliance with agency and investor guidelines.
  • Review loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal and external policies.
  • Identify and document loan defects, trends, and potential risks.
  • Communicate findings and collaborate with appropriate teams (underwriting, processing, closing) to resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely completion of QC reviews and reporting as required by investors and regulators.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly QC reports for management.
  • Monitor and track corrective action plans and follow-ups.
  • Stay current with changes to mortgage regulations and agency/investor requirements.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as needed.
  • Support servicing audits, or other QC initiatives as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the QC business unit.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Required Experience/Skills:

  • 2–5 years of experience in mortgage lending or quality control.
  • Familiarity with Encompass loan origination system (LOS) and automated underwriting systems (AUS).
  • Knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of compliance regulations (TRID, RESPA, ECOA, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
