Job summary

Louisiana Empowerment in Ohio seeks a dedicated Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist to join our field staff in Parma. This 100% community-based role delivers services in client homes, schools and local settings with no office requirement, meeting clients where they are to provide real-world support.

You will coordinate care with families, document activities in our EHR, manage a caseload, and implement individualized plans focused on emotional regulation and social skills.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; degree in social work or psychology preferred.
• 3 years experience in behavioral health required.
• Must have reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance for daily travel.

Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist (QBHS) - Community Based

Louisiana Empowerment is seeking a dedicated and proactive Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist to join our Ohio Field Staff. We are looking to fill this position for an immediate start. Must have current Medicaid# and NPI#

Position Overview: 100% Community-Based

This is a strictly community-based position. Service delivery takes place entirely within the community, including client homes, schools, and local environments. There is no traditional office requirement for service delivery; you will meet your clients where they are to provide the most effective, real-world support.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct Community Support: Provide behavioral health interventions and skill-building exercises in natural community settings.
• Immediate Caseload Management: Be prepared to transition quickly into active community engagement with clients.
• Goal-Oriented Care: Implement individualized service plans focused on emotional regulation and social competencies.
• Collaborative Advocacy: Work closely with families and community stakeholders to coordinate care.
• Mobile Documentation: Utilize our electronic health record system to maintain timely, accurate clinical notes from the field.

Requirements

• Education & Experience: High school diploma/GED required (Degree in social work/psychology preferred). 3 years Experience in behavioral health is required
• Transportation: Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance for daily travel throughout the Parma area.
• Independence: Ability to manage a schedule and work effectively without direct on-site supervision.
• Urgency: Ready to complete onboarding and begin community visits immediately.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour (DOE).
• Schedule: Part-Time
