Reposition & Recovery Services in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) to join our S.A.F.E. Place Day Treatment Program for youth ages 5–13.

You will provide Therapeutic Behavioral Services and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support each young person in care. This full-time role emphasizes measurable outcomes, thorough documentation, and compassionate, recovery-oriented care within a CARF-accredited organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or related field or 1-3 years of equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented practices is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient in basic computer use.
• Ability to complete timely documentation and follow structured curricula.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct mental health support services to individuals per individualized treatment plans.
• Assist clients in developing coping skills, life skills, and community integration strategies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including case managers, therapists, and psychiatrists.
• Document client progress, service delivery, and observations accurately and timely for every shift.
• Support mealtime needs and monitor youth with medical requirements.
• Communicate with parents/guardians and provide program updates.
• Occasionally serve as substitute bus monitor after group sessions to supervise youth.
• Help maintain a clean, safe facility meeting safety standards.
• Participate in staff meetings and training and follow program schedule.
• Support crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed.
• Facilitate psychoeducation groups or skill-building activities for clients.
• Maintain compliance with state, agency, and HIPAA regulations.

About the Role:

Reposition & Recovery Services in Cincinnati, OH is looking for a passionate and dedicated Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) to join our growing team. Our S.A.F.E. Place Day Treatment Program is designed for youth ages 5–13, both boys and girls, whose lives have been impacted by substance abuse, addiction, and a variety of mental and behavioral health challenges. Services are comprehensive yet personalized to each youth's unique needs, and the program runs Monday through Friday.

We're looking for a Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) to join us as a Group Facilitator, providing Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) with minimal Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST) delivering specific, measurable, and individualized services to each young person in our care.

• Occasionally serve as a substitute bus monitor after group sessions to supervise youth, modeling appropriate interactions and helping youth work through problems as they arise to help ensure safely
• Help maintain a clean, safe facility in line with Ohio Department of Health and agency safety standards
• Follow the program schedule and participate in staff meetings and training
• Support crisis intervention and de-escalation efforts as neededFacilitate psychoeducation groups or skill-building activities for clients
• Maintain compliance with all state, agency, and HIPAA regulations

Requirements:

• Must meet Ohio QMHS qualifications (bachelor's degree in a behavioral health-related field) or 1-3 years of equivalent experience working in mental health, behavioral health or human services
• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented practices
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, and general computer proficiency
• Comfortable following a structured curriculum and completing timely documentation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to client-centered care
