Job summary

SST Direct is seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC Manager to lead the QC team across modular offsite construction operations. The role requires oversight of licensing, collaboration with engineers and shop staff, and ensuring adherence to NEC and quality standards.

This on-site position in Surprise, AZ offers full benefits, regular hours with overtime as needed, and limited travel to support other sites or inspect materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the QC team, set priorities, monitor quality activities and ensure execution of quality standards.
• Maintain state licensing documentation and ensure records are current and organized.
• Collaborate with processing engineers and shop personnel to monitor manufacturing and electrical processes for quality.
• Review shop processes and materials to identify quality concerns and corrective actions.
• Support QC activities for modular construction and electrical systems; electrical experience is highly valued.
• Track quality activities and project information using tracking apps, iPad/tablet tech and MS Office.
• Apply NEC and quality standards when reviewing electrical and modular work.
• Identify issues, communicate findings, and coordinate follow-up to maintain production quality.
• Provide leadership, training and guidance to QC personnel.
• Travel to other sites as needed to inspect materials or provide QC support.
• Work both independently and with engineers, QC staff, shop teams and management.

DIRECT HIRE:An awesome opportunity for an experienced Electrical QA/QC Manager to join a dynamic team. The QA/QC Manager is responsible for leading quality-control activities within the company's modular offsite construction operation. This role manages the QC team, maintains required state licensing documentation, and works closely with processing engineers and shop personnel to ensure manufacturing and electrical processes meet established quality requirements. The position offers an opportunity to support the advancement of the construction industry through modular offsite construction while working in a stable, collaborative environment.

Working Location: Surprise, AZ.

Pay: $105K - 180K (depending on experience)

Schedule/Work Environment: M - F, 7am - 4pm (OT only when necessary to meet deadlines)

On-site/in-office position; not remote, limited travel required as needed to support other sites or inspect delivered materials, relocation assistance available for the right candidate

• Manage and provide leadership to the QC team, establishing priorities, monitoring quality activities, and supporting consistent execution of quality requirements
• Maintain required state licensing documentation and manual licensing requirements, ensuring records remain accurate, current, and organized
• Work closely with processing engineers and shop personnel to monitor processing activities and support quality throughout the modular manufacturing operation

• Travel to other sites as needed to inspect delivered materials, investigate quality concerns, or provide QC support
• Work independently while also collaborating effectively with engineers, QC personnel, shop teams, and management

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated quality-control/quality-assurance experience
• Management or team-leadership experience
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to use Microsoft Office, iPad/tablet technology, and tracking applications
• Working knowledge of NEC requirements
