Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a skilled inspector to verify work against codes and specifications. You will inspect, audit and ensure compliance with the company quality control program and industry standards on large projects.

The role requires AWS/CWI, ASNT NDT, and API Inspector certifications or equivalent experience, with 5–7 years as a top craftsman or 4 years plus an engineering degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years as a top craftsman or 4 years craft with an Associate's Degree
• Engineer with a BS Degree and 2 years' experience also qualifying

Job description

SUMMARY

Inspects accepts and/or rejects work performed in compliance with applicable codes and specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understanding and working knowledge of the company quality control program, company standards, procedures and codes.
• Performs audits to ensure compliance
• Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
• Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

Certifications required for AWS/CWI, ASNT NDT, & API Inspectors. This is an individual who would generally have a minimum of 5 to 7 years as a top craftsman, or 4 years craft and an Associate's Degree, or an engineer with a BS Degree and 2 years' experience.
