Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a QA Tester - Mid-Level for a technology organization focused on delivering high-quality mobile experiences in Austin. You will join the Quality Assurance team and collaborate with onshore and offshore partners to drive quality across mobile projects.

You will design and maintain automated test suites using Appium (XCUI and Espresso), execute manual and automated tests, document defects with reproducible steps, and mentor teammates on testing strategies within a hybrid

Qualifications

Job description

Our client, a technology organization focused on delivering high-quality mobile experiences, is seeking a QA Tester - Mid-Level to join their team. As a QA Tester - Mid-Level, you will be part of the Quality Assurance (QA) organization supporting the mobile testing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong drive for quality, hands-on experience with mobile test automation, and the ability to communicate clearly across onshore and offshore partners—skills that will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: QA Tester - Mid-Level

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid - 4 days onsite / 5th day remote; candidate can pick their remote day). Primary work location: Austin, TX. Secondary work locations: Westlake or Southlake, TX.

Pay Range: $45-$48/hr

What's the Job?

• Design and maintain automated test suites using Appium, leveraging existing XCUI (iOS) and Espresso (Android) suites.

• Execute manual and automated tests across mobile platforms, including post-deployment and regression testing.

• Document and track defects with clear reproduction steps, escalating critical issues promptly.

• Develop subject matter expertise in the mobile experiences managed by the team and independently solve complex quality challenges.

• Coordinate QA activities between onshore and offshore teams to maintain seamless workflow and consistent sprint execution.

What's Needed?

• Strong proficiency with Appium for mobile test automation.

• Hands-on coding in Java or other object-oriented languages.

• Working knowledge of XCUI (iOS) and/or Espresso (Android).

• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, or similar.

• Agile/Scrum methodology experience, including participation in ceremonies and understanding of mobile development lifecycles and CI/CD practices.
