Job summary

A staffing solutions company is seeking an experienced QA Tester in Irving, TX. The role focuses on ETL testing, SQL Server, and data pipeline validation. The ideal candidate should have over 6 years of experience with SQL Server and at least 4 years in ETL testing and integration testing, alongside a working knowledge of Hadoop ecosystems. This contract position requires both manual and automated testing experience.

4–6 years of experience in ETL testing.
4–6 years of experience in integration testing.
4–6 years of experience in both manual and automated QA environments.
2–4 years of hands-on experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools (Hive, Pig, HDFS, etc.).

Job description

We are seeking an experienced QA Tester with strong expertise in ETL testing, SQL Server, and data pipeline validation. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of manual and automated testing experience, along with a working knowledge of Hadoop ecosystems. This role requires deep integration testing skills to ensure data integrity and quality across enterprise-level systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and execute comprehensive test plans and cases for ETL processes, data transformations, and integrations.
Perform both manual and automated testing to validate data accuracy and consistency.
Conduct integration testing across data pipelines, applications, and systems.
Utilize Microsoft SQL Server to validate data flows, write complex queries, and perform in-depth data analysis.
Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to resolve defects and improve data quality.
Validate data pipelines running in Hadoop ecosystems and ensure accurate ingestion and transformation.

Required Skills & Experience:

6+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server (complex queries, stored procedures, data validation).
4–6 years of experience in ETL testing.
4–6 years of experience in integration testing.
4–6 years of experience in both manual and automated QA environments.
2–4 years of hands-on experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools (Hive, Pig, HDFS, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting tools.
Familiarity with tools like Informatica, Talend, or Apache NiFi for ETL workflows.
