Title : ETL Automation tester with Strong SQL

Duration : 12+ Months

Location : Irving, TX- 3 Days Onsite

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for ETL processes, data warehouses, and Big Data platforms.

Perform data validation, reconciliation, and integrity checks across diverse datasets.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and other automation tools for data validation and UI testing of data-driven applications.
Write complex SQL queries to validate data at various stages of the ETL process.
Work extensively with Big Data technologies, specifically Hadoop, to test data ingestion, processing, and transformation.
Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Collaborate with data engineers, developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure test coverage.
Develop and maintain ETL testing frameworks and best practices.
Participate in all phases of the SDLC, from requirements gathering to deployment.
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
Analyze and interpret complex data mappings and transformations.
Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in ETL testing, data warehouse testing, or Big Data testing.
Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and analyze query performance.
Extensive experience with Big Data technologies, particularly Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, Hive, Spark, Impala, etc.).
Proven experience in test automation using Selenium (for UI testing of data applications if applicable, or for general automation where relevant).
Solid understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing principles, and data modeling.
Experience with various data sources like relational databases, flat files, XML, JSON, etc.
Familiarity with data quality and data governance concepts.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation tasks.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
