QA Tester (API testing hands on experience with Katalon)

Key Responsibilities:

Functional Testing:

• Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for functional testing.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and implementation.

Automation Testing:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing.
• Analyze test results, identify issues, and work with the development team to resolve them.

API Testing:

• Create and execute API test plans and test cases to validate API functionality, performance, and security.
• Utilize tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar to perform API testing.
• Ensure thorough coverage of API endpoints and maintain API test documentation.

Quality Assurance:

• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a testing perspective.
• Ensure compliance with QA standards and best practices.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including development, product management, and operations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress and issues.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers as needed.
