Job summary

Oasys International is seeking a QA Tester to lead and coordinate testing for projects supporting a federal government agency in Washington, DC. You will work within an Agile team to plan, execute, and document testing across the software lifecycle.

The role involves hands‑on testing, maintaining reusable test assets, and collaborating with product owners, developers, and DevSecOps to improve quality and processes. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, systems engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of three years of experience in software quality assurance or related discipline.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and executing test plans, cases, and regression suites for web-based applications.
• Experience in Agile or Scrum environments and coordinating testing across sprints and releases.
• Section 508 testing experience or ability to obtain DHS Trusted Tester certification within three months.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business processes to identify test scope and coverage.
• Plan, coordinate, develop, and execute testing for sprint features, releases, enhancements, and production fixes.
• Develop and execute functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, smoke, exploratory, accessibility, and performance tests.
• Maintain a reusable test library and testing playbooks with scenarios and regression requirements.
• Document, track, and retest defects with clear reproduction steps and evidence.
• Support user acceptance testing and other testing activities as required.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tests and collaborate on improvements.
• Communicate testing progress, coverage gaps, and release readiness to leadership.
