Job summary

Oasys International LLC (Oasys) seeks a QA Tester to lead and coordinate testing for government projects in Washington, DC. You will perform hands-on testing, maintain test artifacts, coordinate sprint testing, and communicate quality risks to the team.

The role requires 3+ years in software QA, a Bachelor’s in a technical field, and knowledge of multiple testing methods, including accessibility and performance testing. Collaboration with product owners and DevSecOps is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, systems engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of three years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and executing test plans, cases, and regression suites.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments and coordinating testing across sprints.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business processes to identify test scope and coverage.
• Plan, coordinate, develop, and execute testing for sprint features, releases, enhancements, and production fixes.
• Develop and execute functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, smoke, exploratory, accessibility, and performance tests as appropriate.
• Maintain reusable test libraries and testing playbooks with scenarios and regression requirements.
• Perform impact-based regression analysis to identify tests to retest after changes.
• Maintain traceability among requirements, user stories, test cases, execution results, and defects.
• Document, track, and retest defects with steps, evidence, severity, and expected vs actual results.
• Support user acceptance testing, performance testing, Section 508 accessibility testing, and other testing activities as required.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tests and collaborate with DevSecOps for improvements.
• Communicate testing progress, coverage gaps, defects, risks, and release readiness to leadership.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve testing processes and application quality.
