Job summary

Electronic Arts is seeking a Sr. QA Tester for the Quality Verification Team to work on an embedded game team in Orlando.

This temporary 12-month contract role involves testing with producers, engineers, and designers to define and execute test strategy and champion quality. The ideal candidate has an associate degree or equivalent QA experience, familiarity with Jira, test documentation, and knowledge of testing across gaming platforms, including player-focused quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in an embedded QA environment.
• Experience with testing and defect tracking software, preferably Jira.
• Experience writing test documentation (test cases/plans).
• Experience with different gaming platforms.
• Understanding of white/gray/black box testing.
• Knowledge of software development milestones and sprints.
• Strong knowledge of American Football, preferably College Football.

• Evaluate game from a player's perspective to enhance experience.
• Communicate testing progress clearly in English to managers and teammates.

College Football is looking for a Sr. QA Tester role on the Quality Verification Team who will work on an embedded Game Team, working together with producers, engineers, artists, and designers to test and analyze the game product. You will define and execute the test strategy for the team and champion quality for the product. Temporary Position, 12 month contract

Responsibilities

• You will build working relationships with members of the development, production, and design teams to find bugs & identify opportunities to improve overall quality.
• Consider the game from a player's perspective to identify ways to improve the player experience
• Good English Language skills (written and verbal) are necessary to effectively communicate testing progress and status through verbal or written communication with appropriate managers and other team members.
• Use a Player First approach while thinking about the Quality our players receive. Be the voice of quality.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent industry experience in an embedded environment, preferably in Quality Assurance
• Experience with testing and defect tracking software, preferably Jira
• Experience writing test documentation including test cases, test plans, etc.
• Experience with different gaming platforms
• Understanding of white/gray/bla ck box testing practices
• Knowledge of software development methodology and stages (milestones/sp rints, Alpha, Beta)
• Strong knowledge of American Football, preferably College Football and/or strong knowledge of the game College Football 26

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with collaboration tools, preferably Confluence, Miro, Slack, etc.
• Experience working with off site teams
• A desire to use innovative testing means such as automation and data
