Job summary

The Matlen Silver Group, Inc. is seeking a Test Lead / QA Lead for a 12-18 month contract in Charlotte, NC. The role requires hands-on leadership of QA across development cycles in a regulated banking environment.

Responsibilities include planning and guiding manual and automated testing, scripting, defect management, and coordinating end-to-end testing with cross-functional teams. Onsite three days a week, with visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years leading QA/test teams, preferably in banking.
• Hands-on with at least one automation tool (Tosca, Cucumber or Selenium).
• Experience in Agile environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in JIRA or HP ALM and version control (Bitbucket).
• Experience with banking change-management/regulatory requirements is a plus.

Test Lead / QA Lead

Test Lead / QA Lead to oversee testing activities across development cycles, ensuring high-quality software delivery in a regulated banking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead testing activities across development cycles, including manual and automated testing.
• Develop and execute test scripts and manage defect tracking through resolution.
• Coordinate integration, UAT, and end-to-end (E2E) testing across teams and systems.
• Maintain test documentation, metrics, and reporting.
• Ensure testing complies with banking change-management and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor junior testers and represent QA in project and leadership meetings.

Required Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of experience leading QA/test teams, preferably in banking or credit; Bank of America experience is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one automation tool: Tosca, Cucumber, or Selenium.
• Experience working in Agile environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with JIRA or HP ALM and version-control tools such as Bitbucket.
• Experience with implementations, enhancements, upgrades, or migrations is preferred.
