Job summary

Northline Seafoods seeks a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to support our QA Supervisor at the Land Plant in Bellingham, WA. This temporary position focuses on food safety and product quality in head-and-gut processing.

The role offers Day shift ($24/hour) and Night shift ($25/hour) with a $1 differential, and runs from early November through mid-March, with potential extension through May.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Washington State Food Worker Card at time of hire.
• Experience in food processing or QA preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document records.
• Basic computer skills for data entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and maintaining food safety and quality policies.
• Conduct daily inspections on the head-and-gut line to ensure HACCP/GMP compliance.
• Collect and test samples; document results.
• Support HACCP plan execution and recordkeeping.
• Report non-conformances and assist in corrective actions.
• Maintain QA lab equipment and inventory.
• Collaborate with production and QA leadership to ensure compliant operations.
• Participate in audits and inspections.
• Support training initiatives within QA team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
