Job summary

Northline Seafoods in Bellingham, WA is hiring returning Seafood Processors for a temporary season running from mid-August to mid-May at our Fairhaven facility. Work includes head-and-gut, filleting, and logistics tasks on day or night shifts.

Compensation is $21.00 per hour for day shifts and $22.00 per hour for night shifts (plus a $1.00/hour shift differential). Responsibilities cover fish handling, heading, gutting, filleting, trimming, machine operation, material handling, quality checks,

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Ability to work long hours and stand for extended periods
• Comfortable working in cold, wet environments for extended periods
• Able to perform repetitive motions, including bending, lifting, squatting, twisting, and knife work
• Previous seafood, machine operation (filet/heading/gutting), or warehouse production experience is a plus
• Must regularly lift and move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally heavier items (up to 50 lbs for material handlers)
• Able to communicate effectively, follow directions, and adhere to safety requirements

Responsibilities

• Receive fish from totes or conveyors and sort by size, species, or quality.
• Operate heading, gutting, and filet machines; hand-filet when needed.
• Inspect fish for quality; ensure proper cuts and gut removal.
• Maintain cleanliness; rinse and prepare fish for freezing or packing.
• Operate pallet jacks to move fish totes, ice, and materials; stage production lines.
