Job summary

TreeHouse Foods, Inc. in Ogden, Utah, is seeking a QA Technician I to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety policies and quality practices.

The role focuses on sanitation, HACCP, and kosher certification, working on the C shift from 5am to 5pm, Wednesday through Saturday. You will develop QA programs, inspect raw materials, review quality reports, and coordinate audits with production teams.

Qualifications

  • BS in Food Science or related field required.
  • 8 years’ experience in food industry preferred.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain QA and Sanitation programs.
  • Establish raw material inspection procedures and specs.
  • Implement kosher certification systems for ingredient compliance.
  • Establish budgets for sanitation and quality functions.
  • Maintain HACCP and SPC systems with targeted QC ranges.
  • Review quality reports and manage holds/ Scrap and allergen cleanups.

Job Description
About the Role

The QA Technician is directly responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal food safety policies, quality assurance practices, and rabbinical supervision standards for the Ogden bakery. You will add value by doing the following including but not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain Quality Assurance and Sanitation programs to minimize risk from regulatory agencies
  • Establish and manage raw material inspection procedures and analyze specifications to ensure consistent, unadulterated products
  • Implement and oversee kosher certification systems to ensure ingredient compliance with rabbinical requirements
  • Establish operating and capital budgets for sanitation and quality functions
  • Develop and maintain HACCP and SPC systems, including targeted quality check ranges
  • Review quality reports, address hold/scrap issues, and ensure allergen clean‑ups and labeling accuracy
  • Coordinate audits, conduct facility walk‑throughs, and address food safety and quality issues with production teams
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, food quality, and food defense standards; perform other duties as assigned
Important Details
  • This is a full-time permanent role on C shift, which operates from a rotating schedule Wednesday through Saturday 5am - 5pm.
  • Pay starting at $27.97/Hr.
