Job summary

Principe Foods in Columbia, MO, seeks a 2nd Shift Quality Assurance Technician to ensure the safety and quality of our products. The role focuses on testing materials and finished goods, interpreting specs, and maintaining GMP and HACCP standards.

Requires at least 1 year in food manufacturing; pay starts at $21.63 per hour. Growth opportunities exist within the Technical Services department under the QA Supervisor.

Qualifications

• The ability to read, interpret and analyze general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
• Strong written communication skills for reports and procedures.
• Effective presentation of information to managers, clients, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Interprets raw and finished product specifications and SOPs to ensure testing accuracy and frequency.
• Sets up and performs destructive and non-destructive testing on materials and products per spec or SOP.
• Selects products for tests and evaluates quality characteristics such as dimensions and mechanical properties.
• Analyzes data, communicates findings to QA leadership, and supports permanent corrective actions.
