Salm Partners, an established meat product manufacturer located at 590 Woodrow Street in Denmark, WI, seeks a 1st Shift Technician QA to perform quality inspections, testing, and sanitation duties in a USDA-FSIS regulated environment. The role requires attention to detail, data recording, and adherence to GMP and safety rules.

The position supports QA Hold decisions, sample submissions, and liaison with USDA representatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED normally required; Associate's degree preferred.
• USDA-FSIS regulated food manufacturing experience preferred; non-degreed candidates need production line experience with QA exposure.
• Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy; able to work in a fast-paced environment with varying conditions.
• Windows computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook; MAS 500 or related software preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform inspections and testing related to quality control and sanitation in compliance with SQF, GMP and USDA-FSIS.
• Maintain sanitation records and operate in a production environment with temperature and humidity variations.
• Monitor HACCP-related checks, weight/length analyses, and sampling for FSNS and other labs.
• Collaborate with USDA and QA teams to address issues and document corrective actions.
• Calibrate equipment (pH meters, thermometers, colorimeters) and verify accuracy of scales.
• Ensure GMP compliance and follow lockout/tag-out procedures; support Lean initiatives.
