Job summary

Clio Snacks, a rapidly growing snack company, is hiring a QA Technician to support daily quality and food safety tasks under the Quality Supervisor. You will assist with checks, sampling, data entry, and regulatory compliance across our production lines.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree in science or equivalent experience, at least one year in food quality, and familiarity with HACCP/PCQI. Entry-level applicants are welcome to apply as we grow.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in science or equivalent work experience.
• At least 1 year in a quality role within food manufacturing.
• HACCP and/or PCQI certification is a plus.
• Lab experience preferred but not required.
• Entry-level candidates can be considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily quality and food safety checks for compliance with requirements.
• Perform post-cleaning verification, pre-operational inspections, and line clearance.
• Conduct shelf-life analyses and manage sample inventory.
• Collect environmental swabs and prepare samples for 3rd party labs.
• Report nonconformities to Quality and Plant Management.
• Enter data and perform statistical analysis of Quality KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP, and GMP activities.
• Maintain quality manuals, SOPs, records to SQF standards.
• Participate in internal food safety audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Quality Management.

The Opportunity

The QA Technician role will be assisting in daily quality and food safety related functions, and additional tasks assigned by the Quality Supervisor.

What You'll Do

• Conducts daily quality and food safety checks to ensure compliance with customer requirements, product specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Conducts post-cleaning verification, pre-operational inspection of equipment and facilities and line clearance.
• Conducts product shelf-life analysis and maintains sample inventory.
• Collects environmental swabs and prepares samples for 3rd party lab analysis.
• Reports all product nonconformities and processing issues to Quality and Plant Management, as it relates to product quality and/or food safety.
• Performs computer data entry and statistical analysis of Quality KPI's.
• Ensures compliance to regulatory requirements, SQF, HACCP and GMP activities at all levels of operation.
• Helps maintaining quality manuals/SOPs, production/processing forms and records to meet established standards per SQF system.
• Participates in internal food safety audits.
• Other jobs as assigned by the Quality Management.

Compensation

• $23.00 / hour
