Join Our Team Today! Are you detail-oriented and passionate about food safety? A leading food manufacturing company is seeking a
Quality Assurance Technician to join its 3rd shift team (10 PM – 6 AM, starting Sunday nights).
Why Apply? This role is integral to maintaining product quality and compliance by collaborating with Safety, Logistics, Maintenance, and Production teams. You'll be hands-on in auditing, testing, and monitoring our food production process to ensure top-tier standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily laboratory testing, equipment calibration, andtroubleshooting.
Perform data entry and issue certificates of analysis.
Monitor production lines and proactively assist the Production team.
Oversee rework and substandard product quality.
Prepare and conduct micro testing, environmental monitoring, and sample preparation.
Support audits, including weight control, CCP verification, GMP compliance, and monthly internal assessments.
Assist with raw material inspection testing, and release.
Lead investigations, corrective actions, and root cause analyses.
Collaborate with HSE/HR teams on special projects.
Participate in facility audits and ensure compliance.
What You Bring
Experience: 1+ year in food manufacturing, QA/QC, or lab technician roles.
Education: A degree in Life Sciences or 2+ years in quality control within food/beverage production.
Skills
Knowledge of FDA regulations, GMP standards, microbiology, pH testing,
chemistry, and quality assurance methodologies. Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft
Excel, Outlook, and data tracking.
Bonus: Food Science degree preferred.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment
Work in a modern facility featuring three labs (2 Dry Labs, 1 Wet Lab), ensuring a spotless and highly regulated environment under FDA/USDA guidelines.
Training Schedule: First shift (7 AM –3 PM) until fully trained. Occasional warehouse visits (~20 minutes away) for
inspections and sample collection. Fast-paced role with daily 8 AM meetings and occasional weekend work as needed.
