Job summary

A leading food manufacturer in Rochester is seeking QA Technicians to ensure high standards in food safety and quality. The role involves conducting audits and quality checks to guarantee compliance. Successful candidates will bring attention to detail and preferably some experience in QA or food handling. Shifts include 6 am to 2 pm or 6 pm to 6 am with night shift allowances. Full training is provided in a supportive environment, with opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Previous QA or food handling experience within a food manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Understanding of HACCP principles is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure manufacturing processes and finished products meet specifications.
• Conduct audits, quality checks, and inspections in the factory.
• Ensure product safety and compliance before leaving the site.

Our client, a leading food manufacturer, is looking for two detail‑driven QA Technicians to join their team, onsite in Rochester. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining product excellence within a fast‑paced production environment.

The Role

As QA Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes, hygiene standards, and finished products consistently meet internal specifications and customer requirements.

You’ll be hands‑on in the factory and warehouse, carrying out audits, quality checks, and inspections to ensure products leaving site are safe, compliant, and of the highest standard.

About You

• Previous QA or food handling experience within a food manufacturing environment (desirable)
• Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate and understanding of HACCP principles (desirable)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Basic IT skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible to cover different shift patterns and overtime when required

What’s On Offer

Two shift patterns available for each role as follows:

1. A‑ 6 am‑2 pm to B‑ 2 pm‑10 pm (one week shift A, one week shift B)
2. 6 pm‑6 am (4 on, 4 off) – this role comes with a £1,800 night shift allowance
