Job summary

OSI Group in Oakland, CA is seeking a Line Auditor to support production quality. You will perform line audits, calibrate equipment, and collect samples for lab testing to ensure compliance with product specifications and GMP procedures.

The role requires strict attention to record-keeping and safety, with on‑the‑job training provided. The position involves daily temperature checks, metal detector verifications, and routine documentation.

Qualifications

• No formal education required beyond on‑the‑job training.
• Must follow GMP and safety rules.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to record data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Audit line internal temperature of cooked products and record results.
• Audit metal detectors with standards; if detector is faulty, retain product and re-test since last pass.
• Perform line audits recording speed, temperature and weights.
• Weekly swabs of equipment/gloves and plates of air; package and send to lab.
• Collect cooked and raw product samples for lab testing with instructions.
• Maintain and test shelf life samples; perform organoleptic duties.
• Inspect code dates on packaging per product spec and schedule.
• Inspect and record cooler and freezer temperatures.
• Cook samples 2–3 times per shift from all lines.
• Hourly piece count of packed boxes; calibrate scales and thermometers daily.
• Complete sanitation paperwork; follow all safety rules and PPE use.
