Job summary

Xogene seeks an experienced QA Tech Lead to guide test automation and strategy, reporting to the Director of Engineering. This hands-on role involves writing and maintaining automated tests while shaping automation direction for the team.

Responsibilities include mentoring automation engineers, driving risk-based testing, and integrating Playwright within CI/CD, APIs, and regression suites across multiple products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in software testing or QA engineering, including at least 2 years in a technical or automation lead role.
• Hands-on experience testing large-scale enterprise SaaS web applications and complex software systems, including RBAC and multi-tenant data isolation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor automation engineers, provide technical guidance to the wider testing team, and foster a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across time zones to define risk-based test strategy and automation plans.
• Architect, build, and maintain scalable automation testing frameworks (Playwright) and automate test execution in CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and execute automated test scenarios for system, integration, regression, and API testing, expanding coverage across products.
• Move automated suites to CI/CD (GitHub Actions) and manage flaky tests and reliability.
