Job summary

Broan-NuTone LLC in Hartford, CT invites a dedicated quality professional to join our production support team. You will perform incoming inspections, dimensional analysis, and PPAP-related activities while maintaining accurate documentation and conforming to our QMS standards.

The role emphasizes cross-functional teamwork, adherence to core values, and continuous improvement. A high school diploma and hands-on measurement skills are required, with training provided for specialized equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have basic measurement instrumentation skills and the ability to use hand tools and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Live out core values: safety, bias for action, trust, and entrepreneurship.
• Manage timely production support and quality meetings.
• Perform incoming inspections using standard measurement tools.
• Support quality with proper documentation and follow-through on line calls.
• Process non-conformance records in the electronic database.
• Conduct dimensional analysis to support PPAP and regulatory needs.
• Pass annual skills checks for inspection techniques and equipment use.
• Participate in team and production meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Live out Broan’s core values of safety, bias for action, trust, and entrepreneurship.
• Manage time and task load well as to be prompt for production support and quality meetings.
• Conduct incoming inspections by using the appropriate measurement instruments.
• Answer production line calls for quality support through proper documentation and follow through.
• Process non-conformance records in our electronic database and assist in resolving them.
• Conduct dimensional analysis in support of the PPAP process, quality requests, customer issues, and regulatory needs.
• Annually pass skills check for inspection techniques, quality standards, and equipment use.
• Participate in team and production meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (completed).
• Proficient or willing to learn hand tools, gauges, and measurement equipment.
• Proficient or willing to learn how to read drawings.
• CMM experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in reading drawings and Bill of Materials.
• Work well in a cross-functional team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience working with a QMS is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to safely lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for a prolonged period of time.
• Ability to sit and use a computer for a prolonged period of time.
• Ability to safely travel throughout the plant each day to partner with others on projects and provide support as needed
