Job summary

Broan-NuTone in Wisconsin is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform incoming inspections, measure parts, read drawings, and support PPAP and quality initiatives. You will help ensure product conformity and maintain compliance with QMS standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes practical measurement skills, collaboration with production teams, and ongoing training on inspection techniques and equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (completed).
• Proficient or willing to learn hand tools, gauges, and measurement equipment.
• Proficient or willing to read drawings.
• CMM experience strongly preferred.
• Experience reading drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Works well in a cross-functional team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with a QMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Live out Broan’s core values of safety, bias for action, trust, and entrepreneurship.
• Manage time and task load to be prompt for production support and quality meetings.
• Conduct incoming inspections using appropriate measurement instruments.
• Answer production line calls for quality support with proper documentation and follow-up.
• Process non-conformance records in our electronic database and assist in resolving them.
• Conduct dimensional analysis in support of PPAP, quality requests, customer issues, and regulatory needs.
• Annually pass skills checks for inspection techniques, quality standards, and equipment use.
• Participate in team and production meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to safely lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for a prolonged period of time.
• Ability to sit and use a computer for a prolonged period of time.
• Ability to safely travel throughout the plant each day to partner with others on projects and provide support as needed
