Job summary

JBS Foods in Marshalltown is hiring a QA Tech for the 2nd shift. The role focuses on sanitation, product quality audits, and daily operational checks to maintain food safety standards.

You will monitor equipment conditions, verify labels and scales, and complete required sanitation paperwork while coordinating with the QA Supervisor–Shift Supervisor. Strong English communication and ability to work all shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must communicate in English, both written and verbal.
• Able to work all 3 shifts as needed.
• Some heavy lifting required.
• Able to work in hot and cold environments.
• Strong attention to detail; accuracy is essential.
• Internal applicants preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect designated areas for cleanliness and sanitation to ensure efficient and effective daily operation.
• Perform regular audits of products to ensure quality and cleanliness.
• Monitor and record condition of equipment, boxes, facilities, and temperatures of room, product, trailers, sterilizers.
• Complete necessary paperwork (i.e., sanitation report, etc.).
• Verify accuracy of scales, equipment, and labels.
• Observe hourly employees to ensure proper procedures are being followed.
• Attend meetings as scheduled of called.
• Perform various other duties as needed or assigned.
