Victaulic Company in Lawrenceville, GA, is seeking a QA Technician to join our onsite metal lab. You will calibrate and troubleshoot test equipment, conduct chemistry evaluations with metal spectrometers and CS meters, and perform sand testing, microstructure analysis, and hardness and mechanical property tests.

The role requires strict adherence to safety rules, participation in toolbox talks and safety meetings, and documentation of results.

Qualifications

• Calibrate and troubleshoot test equipment.
• Chemistry evaluations using Metal Spectrometers and CS Meters.
• Retrieve and test sand samples and analyze microstructure.
• Perform Brinell and mechanical property testing.
• Use hand measuring tools (calipers, mics) and document results.

Ensure that safe and sanitary working conditions are maintained in the facility in accordance with Company standards, as well as state & federal laws and regulations. Know and understand your OSHA rights. Conduct safety training topics as required or needed. Responsible for attending all assigned safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions. As required, promptly investigate accidents and near misses, completing appropriate reports and taking action to eliminate root causes.Perform testing in Safe and Timely manner to support manufacturing.This position requires the ability to work unsupervised and communicate with other departmentsPrimary responsibilities will be working in the Metal Lab and may include any of the below listed Quality Functions:* Calibrate and Trouble shoot test equipment* Chemistry evaluations using Metal Spectrometers and CS Meters* Retrieve and Test Sand* Microstructure Evaluations* Brinell Hardness Testing* Mechanical Property Testing* Use of Hand Measuring Tools* Perform basic calibrations of measuring devices (Calipers, Mics, etc.)* Basic computer skills generating and sending test results/reports* Other duties as assigned**Our current openings are on 2nd and 3rd shift**
