Job summary

Victaulic Company operates a metal lab and seeks a dedicated Lab Technician for 2nd and 3rd shift. You will calibrate and test equipment, conduct chemistry evaluations with spectrometers and CS meters, and perform structural material testing.

Responsibilities include handling Brinell hardness tests, mechanical property assessments, and documenting results with basic computer tools while maintaining safe working conditions per company and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Job Description Responsibilities:

Understand and abide by all Company safety rules, regulations, and policies. Ensure that safe and sanitary working conditions are maintained in the facility in accordance with Company standards, as well as state & federal laws and regulations. Know and understand your OSHA rights. Conduct safety training topics as required or needed. Responsible for attending all assigned safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions. As required, promptly investigate accidents and near misses, completing appropriate reports and taking action to eliminate root causes. Perform testing in Safe and Timely manner to support manufacturing. This position requires the ability to work unsupervised and communicate with other departments Primary responsibilities will be working in the Metal Lab and may include any of the below listed Quality Functions:

• Calibrate and Trouble shoot test equipment
• Chemistry evaluations using Metal Spectrometers and CS Meters
• Retrieve and Test Sand Microstructure Evaluations
• Brinell Hardness Testing
• Mechanical Property Testing
• Use of Hand Measuring Tools
• Perform basic calibrations of measuring devices (Calipers, Mics, etc.)
• Basic computer skills generating and sending test results/reports
• Other duties as assigned
