Job summary

Victaulic Company is seeking a quality-focused technician to support metal-lab testing and quality functions on 2nd and 3rd shift. You will calibrate equipment, perform chemistry evaluations with spectrometers, and conduct hardness and mechanical property tests, while maintaining strict safety and reporting standards.

Qualifications

• Understand and abide by all Company safety rules, regulations, and policies.
• Safe and sanitary working conditions in accordance with Company standards, state & federal laws.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot test equipment.
• Chemistry evaluations using Metal Spectrometers and CS Meters.
• Retrieve and test sand.
• Microstructure evaluations.
• Brinell hardness testing.
• Mechanical property testing.
• Use of hand measuring tools (calipers, mics).
• Perform basic calibrations of measuring devices (calipers, mics).
• Basic computer skills generating and sending test results/reports.

• Conduct chemistry evaluations using metal spectrometers and CS meters.
• Retrieve and test sand; perform microstructure evaluations.
• Conduct Brinell hardness and mechanical property testing.
• Use hand measuring tools and calibrate measuring devices (calipers, mics).
• Generate and send test results/reports.

Responsibilities :

Understand and abide by all Company safety rules, regulations, and policies. Ensure that safe and sanitary working conditions are maintained in the facility in accordance with Company standards, as well as state & federal laws and regulations. Know and understand your OSHA rights. Conduct safety training topics as required or needed. Responsible for attending all assigned safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions. As required, promptly investigate accidents and near misses, completing appropriate reports and taking action to eliminate root causes.

Perform testing in Safe and Timely manner to support manufacturing.

This position requires the ability to work unsupervised and communicate with other departments

Primary responsibilities will be working in the Metal Lab and may include any of the below listed Quality Functions:
