Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Seattle, WA is seeking a Support Engineer II for Prime Air - Assembly & Test Quality to perform inspections, document nonconformances, and drive cross-functional improvements.

You will operate calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, and optical comparators; maintain records and traceability; support FAI per AS9102; and analyze data to identify root causes and trends for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

2+ years of software development, or 2+ years of technical support experience.
Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
Experience in Unix.
Experience scripting in modern program languages.
Experience reading and interpreting drawings or technical documents.
2+ years in a quality inspection role in manufacturing or aerospace/defense.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections per documented instructions, drawings, specifications, and control plans using measurement tools.
Identify, classify, and document nonconformances with evidence in internal systems.
Communicate inspection results and nonconformance findings to engineering and quality teams.
Propose mitigations or corrective actions for nonconformances and escalate complex issues.
Operate and maintain inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and CMMs.
Maintain inspection records and traceability documentation per quality system requirements.
Support First Article Inspection (FAI) per AS9102 or equivalents and monitor data trends.
