Job summary

freshexpress in Georgia is seeking a Food Manufacturing – Quality Assurance Supervisor to develop, administer and maintain Food Safety and Quality programs that assure the production of high quality, safe products.

You will supervise on-line QA technicians, coach QA staff, perform root cause analyses, conduct trainings, and ensure compliance with safety rules and company standards. The role requires a BS in Food Science and 1–3 years of QA in food manufacturing.

Qualifications

• BS in Food Science or related discipline.
• 1–3 years experience in a Quality Assurance function in food manufacturing.
• Strong technical knowledge of food processing.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Experience with ISO 22000 or equivalent system.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-line quality assurance technicians to ensure compliance to all company, customer quality, and food safety requirements.
• Coach and drive performance improvements of QA Assistant Supervisors, QA Technicians, and Raw Material Inspectors.
• Address performance issues of QA personnel using HR guidelines.
• Audit compliance to food safety requirements.
• Carry out root cause analysis and drive sustained improvement at the production level.
• Instill a culture of operational discipline, accuracy, and compliance.
• Prepare and conduct trainings on a range of topics for employees at different levels of the organization.
• Ensure that QA department employees are trained in and obey safety rules while carrying out their duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
