Job summary

Finlays Solutions is a leading partner to the B2B beverage manufacturing industry, with integrated NLX Beverage Solutions at the New Lenox site. The QA Supervisor role leads the Laboratory and Quality Operations to assure food safety, quality, and reliable data, reporting to the Site Quality Manager and collaborating across functions.

The position covers GLP, GMP, HACCP, and SQF/BRC/FSSC 22000 programs, staff training, audits, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience with laboratory auditing and compliance programs.
• HACCP Level 2 certification preferred.
• Advanced ability to train personnel and perform analytical and microbiological testing.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory health and safety practices, including handling chemicals, reagents, and hazardous materials.
• Experience managing laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration, and replacement planning.
• Ability to lead method validation and verification activities, including participation in laboratory ring testing programs.
• Expert knowledge of laboratory techniques such as sampling, weighing, pipetting, and titration.
• Knowledge of GFSI audit scheme, (ex. SQF, FS22000 or BRC); implementation experience preferred.
• Strong laboratory data management and documentation skills.
• Proficient in data analysis tools, including Excel, to identify trends and patterns.
• Working knowledge of basic statistical concepts, including averages, standard deviation, range, and SPC.

Responsibilities

• Lead laboratory and quality operations to ensure testing readiness and data reliability.
• Maintain accurate laboratory data reporting and GLP/GMP compliance.
• Support GMP, HACCP, SQF/BRC/FSSC 22000 and related programs.
• Coordinate staffing and training of the laboratory team.
• Prepare quality reports and communicate results to Operations.
• Assist with audits and corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement in food safety and quality.
