UDA - United Dairymen of Arizona in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to uphold top food safety and quality through HACCP and CCP standards across production, quality, and packaging areas.

You will lead root cause analysis, oversee surveillance, and mentor staff while ensuring GMP, SQF, and HACCP compliance. Strong microbiology knowledge and dairy industry experience are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in an applicable science discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year experience in supervisor role.
• Minimum 3 years dairy or food and beverage industry experience.
• HACCP certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct root cause analysis to identify product quality defects and failures in the product process.
• Oversee quality surveillance of manufacturing areas within HACCP compliance.
• Inspect facility, tools, and equipment and perform bacteriological environmental tests throughout plant areas.
• Develop quality and safety procedures and mentor plant staff to ensure optimal effectiveness.
• Regularly inspect production lines to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Coordinate monitoring of packaging lines for CPs and CCPs.
• Collaborate with sanitation team to validate sanitation effectiveness and environmental monitoring.
• Log, report, and take corrective action for all food safety and quality deficiencies.
• Conduct investigations and generate incident reports regarding food safety and quality.
• Maintain detailed records input data into document management systems.
• Audit, monitor, and manage plant operations to ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP and SQF standards.
• Assist with all new hire training regarding GMPs and Food Safety awareness.
• Maintain food safety and quality standards; report issues immediately.

The Quality Assurance Supervisor will ensure the highest level of food safety and quality is maintained, in compliance with HACCP and CCP standards, throughout UDAs food production, quality, and packaging facilities.PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct Root cause analysis to identify and understand product quality defects and failures in the product processOversee quality surveillance of manufacturing areas within HACCP complianceConduct facility, tools, and equipment inspections and perform bacteriological environmental tests throughout plant areasDevelop quality and safety procedures and mentor plant staff to ensure optimal effectivenessRegularly inspect production lines to identify and resolve quality issuesCoordinate in the monitoring of packaging lines for effective control of CPs and CCPsCollaborate with the UDA sanitation team to validate sanitation effectiveness and environmental monitoringLog, report, and take corrective action for all food safety and quality deficienciesConduct investigations and generate incident reports regarding food safety and qualityKeep detailed, accurate and legible records input data into document management systemsCollaborate with management to audit, monitor, and manage plant operations to ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP and SQF standardsAssist with all new hire training regarding GMPs and Food Safety awarenessAlways maintain food safety and quality standards, resolving and/or reporting compliance issues immediately.QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong understanding of microbiology and food quality standardsStrong knowledge of good manufacturing practices and HACCPTeam-player mentality with the ability to self-manage and prioritize time, tasks, and projectsAbility to lead multiple business initiatives in a manufacturing environmentProficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and document control systemsStrong communication skills with the ability to discuss and generate business reports, business correspondence, and procedure documentsExperience:Minimum of 1 year experience in supervisor roleMinimum of 3 years working in a plant or manufacturing environmentMinimum of 3 years dairy or food and beverage industry experienceEducation/Certifications:Bachelors degree in an applicable science discipline or equivalent experienceHACCP Certification preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Requires ability to walk and stand for 12 or more hours at a timeRequires ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift and carry items up to 55lbs.Requires ability to climb ladders and stairs of various heights occasionally including floors of 100ft or more, with appropriate fall protection PPERequires ability to visually observe the condition of surroundings.Requires ability to work in varying extreme hot, cold, and wet temperatures and conditionsRequires ability to hear and speak, occasionally in high time weighted average environments with elevated decibel readings (using appropriate hearing protection)
