Job Summary

WEBstaurantStore.com -- the internet's leading restaurant supplier-- is looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor. In this role, you'll become a hands-on member of our Application Development team, while setting up all of the necessary tools, documentation, and test plans for a successful QA team. Responsibilities

As a Hands-On QA Supervisor, you'll be responsible for:

• Managing a small team of Quality Engineers
• Working with a QA Manager to mentor and support the QEs reporting to you.
• Assuring management that new and refactored features are free of defects
• Taking ownership of the defect correction workflow within the Application Development team
• Communicating with project stakeholders and keeping them in the loop on testing.
• Being a strong advocate for Testing Best Practices and Quality throughout the company
• Actively conducting ongoing testing of minor feature releases using both Manual and Automation methods.
• Suggesting improvements and documenting defects for our enterprise e-commerce system
• Conducting Automation Code Reviews.
• Assist in the interviewing and hiring or resources.
• Being able to gauge the performance of your team's ability to uphold Coding Best Practices.
• Organizing Beta and A/B tests
• Assisting in organizing daily efforts
• Most Importantly… Leading by example with a Sense of Urgency in the things you do.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.
  
  

Remote Work Qualifications

• Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
• Access to a home router and modem.
• A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).
• A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). PO Boxes are not supported, as a physical address is required for you to receive your computer equipment.
• The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.
• Legal residents of one of the following states: (AK, AL, AR, AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI, WV, or WY). H-1B Visa Sponsorship Not Available, W2 only.
  
  

Experience

Must Have experience includes:

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a QA Role Testing web and mobile apps with a steady progressive growth in your career.
• Minimum +6 years experience in OOP in C#
• Leading and Mentoring a QA team for 2 or more years
• Key involvement in the Hiring and Performance Evaluation of staff on your team.
• Key involvement in QA department process improvement planning and efforts.
• Working with All levels of a project team to form consensus and cooperation.
• Mentoring Jr staff on Enterprise QA Policy
• Being a part of Peer and Jr. Staff evaluations
• Writing and Reviewing test plans
• Conducting or organizing User Acceptance tests
• Conducting or organizing Beta tests
• Using documentation systems

• Direct Hiring and managing a QA team
