Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking a QA Manager to define and drive the testing strategy across IT initiatives. This role embeds quality throughout the SDLC and leads efforts with an offshore partner to establish governance and continuous improvement in testing.

You will mentor the testing team, manage vendor relationships, and collaborate with development, architecture, and delivery to align testing with design and build phases, ensuring quality across all projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or related field.
• 7+ years in software testing; 2+ years in leadership.
• Experience managing offshore testing teams and vendors.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and automation.
• Familiar with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Experience using test scripts and Zephyr.
• Experience with enterprise-scale applications and integration testing.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to embed quality practices across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain a comprehensive testing strategy aligned with delivery objectives.
• Lead functional, integration, system, regression, performance, security, and UAT testing.
• Drive adoption of automation testing frameworks and tools to improve efficiency.
• Monitor testing metrics, quality trends, and risk areas; report findings.
• Mentor the testing team; manage offshore partners and vendor relationships.
• Embed testing practices into the SDLC; collaborate with development and delivery teams.
